As long as you dress appropriately for the temperatures, getting outside on a sunny winter day is really invigorating.
Mike introduced me to snowmobiling, and the kids love to go out when we're in the Adirondacks.
Although it's nice to stay indoors once in a while.
Eliza told me the other day that she needs a skating skirt.
I love cold little faces in hand-knit caps (thanks Aunt L!)
Although, winter sports can be dangerous at times.
Like when I bent down to tie Luke's ice skate, the same time he lifted the skate up.
Ouch.

I agree. As long as I'm dressed right the winter is not too bad...I actually feel like I stay healthier with my outdoor runs...the fresh air keeps the germies away!
OUCH!!
I think she needs a Team Sparkle skirt for ice skating. They're so sparkly and twirly!!
When I saw the title, I thought "she has gone crazy" till I read the rest of the post.
We dont get sunshine in Ohio, especially in the winter, it is always grey skies. Sigh
Snowmobiling is soooooo fun!!
Ice skating is even more fun!! I am an ex hockey player :-)
Being a ex hockey player, I am glad that the accident was minor, those blades can be very, very sharp!
I agree with ya, of course winter never really comes to Memphis, it gets cold for a few days, but then it gets back to normal!
I love winter and cold weather but our winters are dry and cold with zero snow. A bit different to yours for sure.
I don't know that cold weather but I agree, winter is not too bad if we are appropriately dressed.
The snow is almost unknown here.
Beautiful photos.
