Do you have a list of things you want to do in life before, you know, you kick the bucket? I never really gave it much concrete thought, but I do have some things I'd like to do. My sister A went skydiving this past Sunday and she loved it, but I don't think I would do that now that I have kids. A said it was the scariest thing she'd ever done, and was so hyped up on adrenaline, she still couldn't sleep 13 hours later. My mother in law talked about her list after the Breast Cancer walk, she wants to do a hot air balloon ride in the Grand Canyon once she's done with chemo and radiation. That would be a cool way to celebrate!
Most of my items involve travel, which I used to do before the kids came along. I think I would want to go somewhere like Vietnam, or Japan, something completely different. The thought of running a marathon has been lurking around in my brain for a loooong time. I want to take the kids to Disney, more than once. It'd be killer to go to Napa, which, by the way.....my favorite chard is being discontinued! Say it isn't so, but my Tunnel of Elms is on it's way out. I'm thinking of buying a case of it if the liquor store has enough, after all there are only two nights left of No Wine Weeknights....
So tell me, what's on your so called Bucket List???

Funny you should ask, but I have been thinking and doing things lately to change things I am not happy about (working out now-check, writing more-check, want to be a better typist so bought a software program-check). In the future? Travel is definately on the list (Hawaii, Alaska, Europe!), and maybe I will have the guts to do something like your sister did...
I've been trying to imagine what I'd like my life to look like in 5 years. I'm not coming up with much except extreme wealth. Hmmmm... Nice to think about anyway. I'm not a gambler or an adventurer. I don't take risks. I wonder what my life would be like if I did. Scary thought.
Super topic, currently I just want to get my last child situated into her college experience. Then I can figure out just what it is that I really WOULD like to do:)

I think I'm with you...I'd love to travel. This world is such a big place and it would be so neat to see more of it! I'm kinda with Janie though--it sure would be nice to have extreme weatlh with it--think of all we could do and accomplish!
Oh mine is travel! Nothing really exciting since the kids were born! I think we are going to take them to China next year a our best friends live there but I would love to go to India and also to Eastern Europe!
I am a follower - although I thought I already was I clicked it again! Sorry of I fell off it before!
This is a hard one. I think I want to do an Ironman at some point. I would love to travel, but I don't think it is something I HAVE to do. Maybe I should think about it some more! (BTW, L and R are on the same bus! I saw him peeking over the seat yesterday afternoon.)
Oh the bucket list. I have no idea. I'm amidst a midlife (is 31 midlife) crisis. I have no job....I was a nurse...I have no idea what I want. I love my kids and my hubby and this life, but I want to contribute to society in some way. I'd love to be a writer...I just had a job interview at a Doctor's office a really cool one that serves a great population on a sliding fee scale program...we'll see.
Usually my bucket list revolves around running marathons. i.e. - Marine Corps Marathon, Boston, Australia....
I would love to take my kids to Disney as well. Some of my inlaws went there in June and they are still talking about it. :)
I've been thinking about writing a bucket list. And most of mine would also include a lot of travel. I just might have to do this soon!

to travel thru europe - i've been to london but that was only for like a weekend thingy and i didn't really get to 'see' it
Funny to read this because lately I have been thinking of what my bucket list would. One of the things I have on there is to go on an all girls trip with a few of my friends. I can't remember the last time I did something like that!
I'm with you...travel, travel and more travel!
I haven't made one yet. I'm sure mine too would involve travel - especially Italy and France. And Ireland. And Spain. Alaska. The East Coast. The Bahamas. Australia. :-)
I would love to do a lot of traveling, and get a book published.
Following you back. :)
Hmmm, good question. Of course I have to say travel too, because who wouldn't like to do that? I agree with you on the skydiving though, it was something that I had thought I would do but now I don't think I could bring myself to do it because of the kids. Darn kids!
I watched that movie this summer (for the first time) and came up with a crazy list - mostly travel for me too. hopefully travel with my kids. I was lucky as a kid - my dad was military - so I lived outside the US for 5 years - 3rd grade to the end of 7th grade - and I really want something like that for my kiddos.
It is fun to make a list. Then I made a list of all the things I had done so far - whew! life is good.
Great topic. I list is huge. LOL http://thesuburbanjungle.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-bucket-list-always-work-in-progress.html
I think it's important to try and do the things we really want to do. You never know how much time you have left.
