I haven't showered yet, or put my contacts in since I'm going for a run this morning, but most of the time, it's a basic shirt, jeans or my favorite sweats.
I weighed myself this morning, no change from last week, I'm surprised I haven't gained. My activity level went down drastically, I've neglected my food diary, and I've had chocolate every day since Easter. This is typical me, I have a couple of weeks of good behavior, then I start to slack off. I've got to get back on track, especially since I have my 10 mile race on Sunday.
But on a positive note, I saw my friend Kelly the other day, and she said she could tell I've lost weight. It's always nice when you hear something like that, especially from a friend because you know they're telling the truth. And on Easter, I wore a pair of dress pants from my pre-baby days, which gave me another boost.
Here is the factoid for this week, from the May issue of InStyle Magazine:
"If you down too much liquid with meals, it dilutes your gastric juices, slowing digestion and causing bloating. Wait 30 minutes after eating to imbibe."
Hope the scale was good to you this week!

You should weigh in again after your morning run! You do look great and congrats on the prebaby pants...its the little things!
Pre-baby pants. That is awesome!
Yehaw for no gaining!! Maybe you are gaining muscle and losing fat - do you use a bf scale, by chance?
Got your email; I'll email back you this afternoon; was so crazy yesterday with PT, dr, track kids and a band concert.
Hang in there girl, you're doing great!
Ha, luckily no scale for me this week. After all the chocolate I've had I just hope the 100km over Easter was enough to take care of that. I will weigh myself before I leave for Comrades. Just to know what my weight is more or less this year.
My wife's family doesn't drink with meals, never understood it, but now there's a reason!
Really? on the liquid factoid? Never heard that one. I could not make it through a meal w/o water!
Good job on the weight--steady as she goes, right?
My weigh in day is Friday. Last week, I had no change. I'm hoping for good news this week. Keep up the good work!
That's an initeresting tidbit. I hope you got your house cleaned up. And I can't wait for the royal wedding either. So people will shut up about it.
Keep up the good work. The scale doesn't always correlate directly to healthiness... how things fit is usually an equally good measure. Good luck at your 10 miler!
I emailed you my results.
Totally the same boat... I do well for awhile, and then get lazy.
I'm up a lb, just one, but we were out of town for the weekend and ate out a lot. Plus, taper week = far less moving. Bleh.
I gained a little bit, but my thesis had really thrown me off track. I'm doing much better now though!
Wait, shouldn't it be W.I.W.? :) Good luck with that 10 miler! I've never raced that distance, but it sounds like a nice one.
Yeah - I gained a pound - sigh!!!! I'm not even going to address this - Easter candy, crazy amounts of poor decision making, uggggg!
I didn't comment the other day - but I'm so glad to hear your sister is doing better. I keep her in my prayers.
That is a VERY intersting factoid about fluids at meal time. I DRINK a lot!!! Every person I have ever eaten with always comments about how much I drink. At home, it's like 2 bottles of water. At a restaurant, I can easily drink 8 glasses of water or 5 sodas. Hmmmmmmm - something to think about I guess. Wonder if I would eat less if I drank less since I couldn't "wash" it down. Hmmmmm - great thought provoking factoid! Thanks for sharing!
You look great!! Interesting fact about the drinking liquids. Ill have to remember that!
Sounds like you are doing great!
pre-baby pants...=WIN! good for you!! I am the same way with doing well for a few weeks, then going a little crazy:)
From an outside perspective, I think you're looking lean and wonderful!
The scale and I are in a big disagreement right now.
I wish I could loook that good in the am!! Good luck this weekend on your 10 miler Molly! Will be thinking of you!!
youre adorable!
Congrats on the weight loss-you look good! I noticed a lot of extra "me" around my middle so I've been upping the water and hopping on my bike...
Easter candy is such a pain-in-the-ass. Sorry it's infringed on your healthy eating.
But, you've got that 10-miler. The extra calories couldn't hurt.
You've trained hard, have a great race!
Chocolate everyday is the heaven!
This is me to a tee. I'm slacking but not gaining, thankfully...yet...although I'd wanted to lose more, I'm kind of happy where I am.
You look great!
You look so cute in the morning!
Interesting factoid you shared!
