Who's down for another round?

No bike in the garage, and no running allowed, so what did I do today? 

Took Eliza to the pool.  I couldn't do a lap swim since it was just the two of us, so instead, I swam circles around one section of the pool while keeping an eye on E while she played mermaid with another little girl, with periodic stops to catch her as she practiced jumping off the side of the pool.

I swam as close as I could get to a butterfly stroke, on and off for over an hour, so I think that kind of counts as a workout.

Maybe.

We had grilled shrimp and rice (and um, salsa. I'm still obsessed) the other night for dinner, I forget that I really enjoy shrimp cooked on the grill, with just a light coating of olive oil and salt and pepper.  I couldn't look at shrimp when I was pregnant with Eliza, and I still can't eat shrimp cocktail, or have it mixed into a pasta dish.  But shrimp with that smoky grill flavor? sign me up.






Anyone interested in continuing the weight loss challenge?  Heather and I lost about the same amount of weight, and we would  both like to lose another 4 pounds, so we're thinking of doing one more round of the challenge.  We're kicking around the details, and the end date, but I'm putting it out there because I had some interest from other bloggers. 

So let me know if you want in, and we'll get it going!

I want details!! I really need some motivation and this might just be it! Besides I have a bridesmaids dress to fit my butt into soon!! Yikes! Let me know!

I'd like to do it too, but I'm not overly confident I'll loose much (not that I don't have 100 pounds to loose). Can I join and not be voted off the island?

Can I make a yummy suggestion about grilled shrimp? Ignore it if the idea makes you nauseous. I love to marinate my shrimp (and chicken breast for that matter) in fat free Italian salad dressing. Then I put it on the grill and use a brush to give it a little more goodness while it's grilling. The flavors of the dressing make it perfect while the oil based dressing keeps it grilling perfectly. While you're at it, you can put some asparagus spears in a foil packet (unless of course you hate asparagus), one ice cube and a couple of squirts of the Fat Free Italian Salad Dressing - yum!

Hope you weren't grossed out by the recommendation.

And . . . I definitely think a butterfly type stroke for an hour DOES count as a very good workout!!!

I hope you tackle those last 4 pounds! Way to keep it up! I would die if I had to swim butterfly laps.. I am not the best swimmer. Your dinner looks way good btw!

Love grilled shrimp. Can't eat boiled shrimp at all. So weird!

I'd love in on your challenge. This is the summer of shedding baby weight.

I think swimming around the pool like that counts! I always am tired after a day of playing in the pool!

Indeed I don't need to lose weight. Only in Xmas time I put on 3/4 lbs: too many cakes.
Luckily we have always 3 options: running, biking and swimming.
