I think you'd find the mantle actually looking larger than now. We were able to put all wires behind and run them behind the walls. It looks great, I mean for a giant tv. I'd prefer no tv, but gotta keep the hubby happy. We also have one mounted in our bedroom and it looks great, but again, we put the wires behind the walls.J.
